Leh to Sham Valley Excursion

After breakfast, head out on a scenic 90 km round-trip excursion to Sham Valley. Begin with the Hall of Fame Museum — a moving tribute to the Indian Army's valour in Ladakh — then continue to the revered Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and the mysterious Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to roll uphill against gravity.

The highlight of the day is the breathtaking Sangam, where the turquoise waters of the Zanskar River meet the grey-green Indus. Continue to Alchi Monastery, renowned for its ancient murals, and Likir Monastery, home to a magnificent giant Maitreya Buddha statue. Walk through winding stone lanes, admire the lush apricot orchards, and visit the Turtuk Monastery. Locals are warm and welcoming, and the views of the Shyok River valley and surrounding peaks are magnificent.
